PHILADELPHIA, December 15, 2015 — Premier Research announces the appointment of Todd Leathers as Executive Director focusing on central nervous system studies. In this new role, Leathers will be responsible for strategic development and oversight of operational, regulatory, medical, and scientific planning for study design and implementation.
He comes to Premier Research from Acurian, a provider of clinical trial patient enrollment and retention services, where he was Senior Director of Strategic Solutions. Prior to that, he spent 12 years at AstraZeneca, where he held a series of leadership positions, most recently Senior Director of Clinical Operations. Leathers began his pharmaceutical career as a staff scientist at DuPont Pharmaceuticals.
He has extensive leadership experience in drug development, having led multiple Phase III global programs within different delivery models.
Leathers holds an MBA in organizational leadership from Drexel University’s Lebow College of Business and a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Lycoming College.
