Clinical Research: Phase 1 - Phase 4

Resources for Childhood Cancer Awareness Month

Premier Research is dedicated to helping patients and families around the world overcome the burden of debilitating diseases, such as a cancer diagnosis.

Cancer is a leading cause of death for children and adolescents, and there are approximately 300,000 children diagnosed with cancer each year around the world.1 With the help of better therapies, more than 80 percent of U.S. childhood cancer patients are becoming long-term survivors.2

In honor of National Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the United States, Premier Research is highlighting an organization that offers resources to help patients and their families in the fight against a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Alex’s Lemonade Stand

One of the many cancer organizations that Premier supports is Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation is changing the lives of children with cancer by funding impactful research, raising awareness, and helping support families. The foundation offers numerous resources for childhood cancer patients, their parents, and their siblings dealing with a childhood cancer diagnosis in the family. Learn more about the foundation and how they aim to help researchers, scientists, and doctors get closer to a childhood cancer cure.

Premier Research is proud to celebrate several years of participation in Lemonade Days for Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation. The company first participated in 2012, where employees around the country set up lemonade stands at their office locations to raise funds for the foundation. In 2019, Premier Research’s Quincy, Massachusetts, office participated for the fifth year to raise funds for this important organization. To date, Premier Research has helped raise more than $7,500 and has helped fund more than 151 hours of research.

While a cancer diagnosis is not easy to cope with, Premier Research hopes that the foundation’s resources will make it easier for patients and their families to navigate the process of undergoing treatment.
